Q. i have done a graph (in my chemistry lesson) right about my experiment on how the concentration affects the rate of reaction, and there is a question which says: what is the most likely cause of an anomalous results on a graph? im not sure what to put down can u help Asked by ME - Fri Feb 20 07:40:52 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. Temperature of the classroom and therefore the chemicals Used the wrong concentration Read the results incorrectly Unclean equipment Broken equipment Human error (with a stop watch it is plus or minus 0.5 seconds) Unpure chemicals Not writing down results correctly Calculating the wrong average Anything you can think of that might have had an effect on the result. I don't know exactly what experiment you are doing so i can't really be very specific. But the most likely cause for a rates of reaction experiment is probably using the wrong concentration (by mistake or that it wasn't labelled properly. Q. What is anomalous behavior of water? Asked by sanjoo - Thu Apr 13 05:29:01 2006 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Water has a special property, called Anamolous behaviour of water, and this property is seen only in water. Water's melting point is 0 degree Celsius, and you might think that the volume increases if further heated above 0 degree celsius, and you are wrong ! Only in water, the volume of water decreases until it is heated to 4 degree celsius, and then it starts increasing, unlike any other liquid (in other liquids, replace 0 degree by their melting point). Therefore, volume of water is least at 4 degree celsius and not at 0 degree celsius. This property of water is called Anamolous Property of water or Anamolous Expansion of water. -- WWW - Weird & Wonderful Web - Answered by Invincible Vegeta - Thu Apr 13 05:29:41 2006 From Yahoo Answer Search: "anomalous" Vocus takes action against DDoS - ZDNet Australia
