What are some false positives for EVP?
Q. Alright, so EVP = ghosts, but not necessarily. I am a paranormal investigator and I am compiling a list of false positives and known, environmental phenomena. I do know some ways a non-anomalous phenomenon can appear anomalous when recorded, but I would like input from anyone even if it is stating the obvious. Thanks! My bad...other than actual noises that are occurring within the direct environment. Alright, if *any* anomaly identified as an EVP is a false anomaly, why is that exactly? I do not generally edit any of our audio. If on the off-chance I do, I keep it alongside the original. Basically it would become two or three files: two unedited files, one playing a few seconds before and after the "anomaly" and the other just the "anomal [cont.]

A. People whispering, people talking in another room, traffic, coughing, wind, your hand rubbing the recorder, animals. Almost any sound recorded that was not noted during the recording can later on be mistaken for a voice
