An injunction is an equitable remedy in the form of a court order, whereby a party is required to do, or to refrain from doing, certain acts. The party that fails to adhere to the injunction faces criminal or civil penalties and may have to pay damages or accept sanctions for failing to follow the court's order. In some cases, breaches of injunctions are considered serious criminal offenses that merit arrest and possible prison sentences.

Q. We belong to a hunting club. The former president is planning to take down the gates saying that they are his.

A. You can file for an injunction not a restraining order (that refers to one person not having contact with another) pro se. However you will have to pay filing fees. That is if you own the land. If not and it is owned by the group then the group will need an attorney, An injunction is an order of a court requiring a person, corporation, or government entity to stop doing something and refrain from doing that thing in the future. In relatively rare cases, the court may issue a "mandatory injunction", compelling a person, company, or governmental unit take affirmative action to do something. Injunctions historically are issued, only "when the remedy at law is inadequate". For example, suppose you own a home surrounded by 100 year old trees… [cont.]

my brother is getting divorced and his wife filed an injunction?
Q. they've been separated for a year and a half now. when they separated he took his credit card debt and she took hers. he wanted his dog and she said no. well now that he has filed for divorce she filed an injunction that they have joint custody of the two cats and the dog and that he share some of the credit card debt. he doesn't mind about the debt. but she wants joint custody and $30 every month per animal till they die and that he takes care of them 30 days out of the year. can that hold up in court? what should he do?

A. If the dog is in his name he should just and get it and there really isn't anything she can do about it. I've not heard of anyone being granted pet support but I have heard of joint custody for pets... I wish I could say I was kidding. He should fight against the debts because after a year and a half of separation most courts should say now they are financially separate.
